The posters can be scientific and technical with concrete results but also works-in-progress and novel ideas are welcome. The topic of the posters should belong to the scope of the Training School. A recognition award will be given to the best poster presented. The Best Poster contest contains three parts:
First, students are requested to send a half-page summary of the poster including poster title, author(s), contact data and one paragraph summary of the research or idea presented. The short summaries will be collected and made available to all participants of the Training School, so that school participants can learn about each others work and have the contact data of their fellows for future collaboration. Please, send your poster summaries to: 3d-avcom2015-secretariat@lx.
Second, students, presenting posters will be asked to pitch their posters in an introductory session. This means, each student will be given one minute to present his/her research and to invite people to visit his/her poster.
Third, the actual poster discussion where students discuss their ideas with the poster visitors.
The posters will be evaluated regarding their idea, presentation and aesthetics. The maximum dimensions of the printed poster should be: 90cm x 100cm (WxH).
The presenter of Best Poster will be awarded a prize related to 3D technology (to be announced soon). Recognition certificate will be awarded as well.
