To define use cases, methodologies and content to identify and assess how discomfort and emotional factors influence the quality of experience in 3D media applications and services.

Objectives
  • Identify best practices on how we analyze emotions (e.g., questionaries, physiological signals, EEG, facial expressions, qualitative methods, etc …) and data analysis.
  • Open the opportunity for a joint experiment: focus, use cases, set up, stimuli and techniques. Identifying methodologies for emotional analysis: electrophysiological, questionaries, computer vision techniques, etc.
  • Analyze the effects of 3D content distortions on visual discomfort and emotions in 3DTV viewers.
Outcomes
  • Report on the state of the art on emotional reaction to 3D contents and how they can be analysed.
  • Test plan for a joint experiment.
