The Industry Forum (IF) addressed two topics of high interest in the field of 3D multimedia: Current research and future trends in 3D interactive multimedia and Light field Display Technology. The IF was co-located with the WG and MC meetings, at the Poznan University of Technology, in Poland.

Description
The research activities undertaken by the BBC R&D Labs were presented by Graham Thomas followed by discussion of results and future research trends in 3D immersive content. Then, the technology of modern Light Field Displays was presented by Peter Kovacs and discussed among the participants in terms of current limitations and open problems for research. Finally, a practical demonstration of the technology using a Light Field Display from Holografika was carried out, where participants experienced different types of visual content, discussed quality issues, technology constraints and future evolution.
