The COST training school on Rich 3D Content: Creation, Perception and Interaction will be held on June 29 – July 02, 2014 in Budapest, Hungary. It will be co-located with the 3DTV Conference 2014.
The school will feature tutorial-like lectures on established topics by world-renowned speakers:
- Marty Banks, University of California, Berkeley – “Human stereopsis and 3D visual perception”
- Ivana Tošić, Ricoh Innovations Corp – “Scene recovery from plenoptic data”
- Daniel Arteaga, Barcelona Media – ”3D audio: theory and practice”
- Szilard Nemeth, Gamax Laboratory Solutions / Matlab – “Speeding Up MATLAB Applications”
- Karol Myszkowski, MPI Informatik, Saarbrucken, Germany – “Perceptual Displays: Exceeding Physical Limitations and Improving Apparent Qualities”
- Tobias Ritschel, MPI Informatik, Saarbrucken, Germany – “Perception-based Stereo Retargeting”
- Frederik Zilly, Fraunhofer IIS, Erlangen, Germany – “Acquisition and Rendering of Free Viewpoint video using Multi-Camera arrays”
The school is organized by ICT COST Action 3D-ConTourNet, FP7 Marie Curie Action Prolight-IAPP, Department of Signal Processing at Tampere University of Technology and Holografika KFT.
